Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Wolfhunter for White Wolf membership, Silver Supporter status and the community around them.
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your use of joinwolfhunter.com and of the membership, supporter status and community services offered there (together, the Service). The Service is operated by Lorenzo Caccialupi, trading as Wolfhunter, P.IVA 18437481007, Via Pierluigi Sagramoso 52, Rome, Italy (Wolfhunter, we). These Terms replace, for this Service, the terms that applied to Wolfhunter's earlier online store; they carry forward the parts of those terms that still apply and leave behind everything that described the sale of physical goods.
Acceptance of these Terms
By visiting the site, buying a membership or supporter subscription, creating a Wolfhunter account, or taking part in a Wolfhunter space or event, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under mandatory law that cannot be excluded by agreement; where these Terms and such a right conflict, the right prevails.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to buy a membership or create an account. Some physical Gatherings and events are open only to those 21 and over; where that applies, Wolfhunter will say so for that event, and you must meet it to attend. You must not use the Service if doing so is prohibited where you live.
What Wolfhunter is
Wolfhunter is a private, paid membership community. The Service currently consists of: the offer and entry experience at joinwolfhunter.com; the White Wolf recurring membership; the Silver Supporter recurring subscription; a Wolfhunter account; a member identifier called the Mark; a Founding distinction for the first hundred annual entries; and the Waiting Room, a private members' group where White Wolves gather while Wolfhunter HQ is built.
Wolfhunter may, over time, add community functionality, member communications, online gatherings, physical Gatherings and events, ways for members to find and connect with one another, and coordinated actions or objectives. Anything described on the site as "coming" or "when it comes online" is a plan, not a present feature, and is offered when and as it becomes available (section 20).
Accounts and account security
A Wolfhunter account is created after payment, on the
/enteredpage, through Clerk, our authentication provider. To claim a paid White Wolf entry you must sign up or sign in with an account holding a verified email address that matches the email address you entered at checkout. If you sign in with a different address — including through a Google account that is not the one you paid with — the entry will not be bound to that account; you will be told to use the email from checkout, and your purchase remains yours to claim.You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once at lorenzo@wolfhunter.io if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must give accurate, current and complete information, keep it current, and have the right to provide it. One person, one account; you may not share, sell, assign, license or transfer an account or a membership.
White Wolf membership
White Wolf is a recurring membership available monthly at €17 or annually at €197, in euro, including any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise at checkout. On successful payment and claim you receive: a White Wolf membership bound to your account, your Mark, access to the Waiting Room, and whatever further member benefits Wolfhunter makes available to White Wolves during your membership. Access to the Waiting Room is granted only to an account holding an active White Wolf membership, and is withdrawn when the membership ends or is suspended.
Your subscription is accepted when Stripe confirms your payment and Wolfhunter records it. Wolfhunter may decline or, with a refund of what you have paid for the unused part, end a subscription where you do not meet the eligibility requirements, where fraud or a breach of these Terms is reasonably suspected, or where Wolfhunter limits membership numbers or availability in a region; where it does so it will tell you at the email address used at checkout. A membership is for your own personal use and may not be bought for resale.
Your Mark is a Wolfhunter identifier issued to you on claim. If the number you asked for at the Gate is free it is issued to you; if not, the next free number is. A Mark is personal to the member it is issued to, is not transferable, and stays Wolfhunter's to administer.
Silver Supporter
Silver Supporter is a separate recurring subscription, from €5 a month, with higher pledge levels available. It is a way to stand with Wolfhunter. It does not include White Wolf membership, a Mark, Founding status, the Waiting Room, or any member-only access, and it does not require a Wolfhunter account. Where Wolfhunter offers Silver Supporters something specific (for example a marker on the Wolfhunter Map when it comes online), it is provided when that feature exists. Sections 7 to 9 on billing, cancellation and withdrawal apply to Silver Supporter subscriptions in the same way as to White Wolf.
Billing and automatic renewal
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method the price of your plan now and again at each renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year, Silver Supporter every month — until cancelled. You confirm that the payment method you use is yours or that you are authorised to use it, and that the details you give are accurate and current. Wolfhunter will tell you of any price change before it applies to you, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Wolfhunter may from time to time offer promotions or introductory pricing under their own stated conditions; where those conditions and these Terms conflict, the promotion's conditions govern that promotion. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it; while it remains unpaid your membership is past due and access may be suspended until it is settled, after which the subscription may be cancelled.
Cancellation
You may cancel a White Wolf or Silver Supporter subscription at any time by emailing lorenzo@wolfhunter.io from the email address on your membership. At launch there is no in-account cancellation control; email is the cancellation mechanism, and Wolfhunter will confirm your cancellation by reply. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless mandatory law, or a withdrawal or refund under section 9, requires otherwise, your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for and then ends. Cancelling does not delete your account or your data; the Privacy Policy explains how to ask for that.
Withdrawal, refunds and your statutory rights
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days of the day you concluded it (the day of your first payment), without giving a reason. To withdraw, send a clear statement to lorenzo@wolfhunter.io before the 14 days end; you may use the wording "I withdraw from my Wolfhunter subscription concluded on [date], email [address at checkout]". Wolfhunter will refund what you paid, using the payment method you used, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your statement, and will end your membership. Wolfhunter does not currently ask you to waive this right or to request early performance at checkout, so the full withdrawal right applies. To the extent permitted by law the right of withdrawal attaches to the conclusion of the contract and does not restart at each automatic renewal.
Outside the right of withdrawal, and except where the law provides otherwise, payments already made are not refunded: cancelling stops future charges but does not return the current period's payment. If the Service is not provided as agreed, you keep every remedy the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and other mandatory law give you, including where applicable the right to have the Service brought into conformity, a price reduction, or termination with a refund, and nothing in these Terms reduces those remedies.
Founding status
The first hundred annual White Wolf entries, in order of successful payment, are recorded as Founding Wolves and receive a Founding number. Founding numbers are allocated by Wolfhunter's systems at the moment of payment, are never reissued, and are confirmed to you when you claim your entry. Founding benefits are available to a Founding Wolf while the underlying White Wolf membership is active.
Founding status is a membership distinction and a set of benefits. It is not, and does not confer, any equity, ownership, share, partnership, revenue share, profit interest, governance or voting right, investment interest, or any other financial or corporate interest in Wolfhunter or in any business or entity associated with it. Nothing about Wolfhunter membership of any kind is an investment, a security, or an offer of one.
Community standards
Wolfhunter is built on shared values and on the way Wolves treat one another. In every Wolfhunter space — online and in person — you agree to: treat other members with respect; keep what is shared in confidence within members' spaces confidential unless the member who shared it says otherwise; be who you say you are; keep your commitments to the group; and follow reasonable instructions from Wolfhunter and from the organisers of a Gathering or event. Wolfhunter may publish more specific rules for a space or an event, and those form part of these Terms for that space or event.
Prohibited conduct
You must not, directly or indirectly, use the Service to, or in connection with the Service:
- break any law, or ask or help anyone else to;
- infringe Wolfhunter's intellectual property rights or those of anyone else;
- post or send false or misleading information, or misrepresent your identity, your affiliations or your experience;
- send or arrange the sending of advertising, promotional material, chain messages or other unsolicited communications to members;
- harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or discriminate against anyone;
- share content that is unlawful, obscene, or that infringes another person's rights, including their privacy;
- record, screenshot or republish other members' contributions, or members' identities, outside a Wolfhunter space without their permission;
- solicit, recruit, market to, or scrape the details of members without Wolfhunter's written permission;
- impersonate any person or entity, or claim a membership, Mark or Founding number that is not yours;
- interfere with the Service, its security, or its payment, authentication or membership systems, or attempt to gain access you have not been granted;
- upload malicious code or attempt to probe, scan or test the Service's vulnerabilities without permission;
- share, resell or transfer your access, an invitation to a members' space, or your account;
- use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by Wolfhunter.
Member content
Where the Service lets you post or share content (for example in the Waiting Room), you keep ownership of it. You grant Wolfhunter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content within the Service for the purpose of running the community, for as long as it remains in the Service. You are responsible for what you share and confirm that you have the right to share it. Wolfhunter may remove content that breaks these Terms or a space's rules, but does not undertake to review or moderate everything members post. Wolfhunter may use testimonials or messages a member has sent it only with that member's agreement.
Feedback. If you send Wolfhunter ideas, suggestions, proposals or other feedback about the Service, you grant Wolfhunter a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and build on that feedback for any purpose, without obligation to you; you confirm you have the right to give it, and if you give a review or testimonial you will tell Wolfhunter of any payment or incentive you received in connection with it.
Interactions between Wolves
Wolfhunter brings members together; it does not control them. Any dealing, arrangement, agreement, friendship, collaboration or transaction between members is between those members alone. Wolfhunter does not vet members beyond the payment and identity steps described in these Terms, does not vouch for any member, and is not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or in person. Use the same judgement with other Wolves that you would with anyone you meet.
Online and physical gatherings
Wolfhunter may hold online gatherings (calls, Summits, sessions) and, where offered, physical Gatherings and events. Attendance may require a current membership, registration, meeting the age requirement for that event (section 2), and following its rules. Wolfhunter may change, postpone, limit capacity for, or cancel a gathering; where you have paid a separate fee for an event Wolfhunter cancels, that fee will be refunded, and your rights under mandatory law are unaffected. You attend physical events at your own risk in the ordinary sense: you are responsible for your own safety, travel, conduct and belongings, and you must comply with the rules of any venue. Wolfhunter's liability at events is governed by section 23.
No guarantee of outcomes
Wolfhunter offers a community, an identity and a set of experiences. It does not guarantee that you will form any particular relationship, receive any particular opportunity, that any other member will attend, respond, behave in a particular way or keep a commitment, or that membership will produce any particular personal, social, professional, financial or other result. What you get out of Wolfhunter depends substantially on what you and other Wolves bring to it. Nothing on the site or in a Wolfhunter space is professional, financial, legal, medical or psychological advice.
Intellectual property
The Wolfhunter name, wordmark, sigil, the Mark format, the site, its films, text, designs, images, code and all other content and materials provided by Wolfhunter are owned by or licensed to Wolfhunter and are protected by copyright, trade-mark and other laws. Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use them for your own participation in the community, and nothing more. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any of them, or use the Wolfhunter name or marks, without Wolfhunter's prior written permission. Unauthorised use of the Service or its materials may breach intellectual-property and other laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Wolfhunter. Feedback is dealt with in section 13.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — Stripe for payment, Clerk for authentication, Telegram for the Waiting Room, Vimeo for video, and hosting infrastructure — and may link to or use others. Your use of a third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy, which you should read. Wolfhunter does not control these providers. Their tools are made available as they are, without endorsement, and your use of them and of any third-party site the Service links to is at your own discretion and risk; Wolfhunter does not examine or vouch for third-party content, and, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible for a third-party service's availability, content or conduct. Wolfhunter will act reasonably to help where a third-party issue affects your membership. Your subscription contract is with Wolfhunter alone: Stripe, Clerk, Telegram and the other providers are not parties to it and are not responsible for the Service.
Suspension and termination
Wolfhunter may suspend or remove your access to any Wolfhunter space, or suspend or terminate your membership, if you materially breach these Terms or a space's rules, if your conduct harms or threatens other members or Wolfhunter, if a payment remains unpaid, or if required by law. Where reasonable in the circumstances Wolfhunter will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If your membership is terminated for your breach, no refund is due for the current period except where mandatory law requires one, and you remain liable for any amount due up to the date of termination. You may end your membership at any time under section 8. Sections that by their nature should survive — including 10, 13, 17 and 22 to 26 — survive termination.
Availability and changes to the Service
Wolfhunter is a living community and will change. Wolfhunter may add, alter, replace or withdraw features, spaces and benefits, move the Waiting Room to a different platform, and change how things work, provided that the core of what you paid for — White Wolf membership with access to the members' community for the period paid — is maintained during that period. Descriptions of the Service on the site may change without notice, and Wolfhunter may limit the number of memberships or their availability in a region. Wolfhunter may interrupt the Service for maintenance, and does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. If Wolfhunter makes a change that materially reduces what an active membership provides, you may cancel and, where the law so provides, receive a proportionate refund for the unused part of the current period.
Errors and inaccuracies
The site may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions — in a description, a price, a promotion, or a statement of what is available and when. Wolfhunter may correct them and update information at any time. If an error affects a subscription you have already paid for — for example a price that was plainly wrong — Wolfhunter will tell you before applying the correction, and you may cancel with a refund of what you paid for the unused part. Nothing in this section reduces your rights under mandatory consumer law.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without representations, warranties or conditions of any kind beyond those stated in these Terms — including any implied warranty of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement — and Wolfhunter does not warrant that the Service will meet your particular requirements or expectations, or that another member will. Some laws do not allow warranties to be excluded, and this section applies only to the extent they permit. It does not affect the statutory guarantees of conformity that consumers have under the Italian Consumer Code and equivalent mandatory law, which apply in full.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Wolfhunter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, for gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including a consumer's mandatory rights. Subject to that, to the extent permitted by law, neither Wolfhunter nor the people and providers who work with it (its collaborators, contractors, licensors and service providers) is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from the acts or omissions of other members or of third-party providers, and Wolfhunter's total liability to you in connection with the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid Wolfhunter for the Service in that period. If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent the law of your country of residence allows.
Your responsibility for your conduct
If a third party brings a claim against Wolfhunter, or against its collaborators, contractors, licensors or service providers, because of your breach of these Terms, your unlawful conduct, or content you shared, you agree to compensate them for the loss and the reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) that directly result, to the extent you are responsible for them under applicable law. This does not apply to a consumer beyond what mandatory law allows and does not affect your statutory rights.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what personal data Wolfhunter collects, why, who processes it, and your rights. Wolfhunter processes personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation; you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data by writing to lorenzo@wolfhunter.io. The Policy forms part of these Terms.
Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. If you are a consumer resident in another EU or EEA country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country. Disputes with a consumer are heard by the courts of the place where the consumer lives or is domiciled, as Italian consumer law provides; for any other dispute, the courts of Rome, Italy have jurisdiction. Before going to court, write to lorenzo@wolfhunter.io — most things can be sorted out directly.
Changes to these Terms
Wolfhunter may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For a material change Wolfhunter will give you reasonable notice — by email to the address on your membership, or by a clear notice on the site — before it takes effect, and if you do not accept a material change you may cancel under section 8 before it applies. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be applied to the fullest extent the law permits and the rest of the Terms remain in force.
Entire agreement and waiver
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any specific rules Wolfhunter publishes for a space or event are the whole agreement between you and Wolfhunter about the Service, and replace any earlier terms, understandings or communications about it — without limiting any mandatory right you have. If Wolfhunter does not enforce a provision on one occasion, it may still enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms; Wolfhunter may assign them to a successor that takes over the Service, and will tell you if it does.
